Softball Recap: Bishop Brossart Takes a Loss

Bishop Brossart had lost five straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 14-8 to make it six. They lost 12-1 to the St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Bishop Brossart saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Twehues, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That double was Twehues' first of the season.

As for St. Ursula Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

On St. Ursula Academy's side, V Oberkorn was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Oberkorn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of J Booth, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Bishop Brossart will challenge Ryle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Ursula Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against Seton on the 5th.
