Basketball Recap: Jordan Page's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Broughton over Prince George's Christian Academy

After flying high against Green Hope on Wednesday, Broughton came back down to earth. The Capitals took an 80-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prince George's Christian Academy Flyers on Friday. The loss put an end to the Capitals' undefeated start to the season.

Broughton's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Page, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 14 boards. The contest was Page's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was George Hatem, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 19 points and six rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Broughton fell to 2-1.

Broughton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-59 defeat against Highland on the 22nd. As for Prince George's Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, an 80-68 loss against Greenfield on the 22nd.
