Softball Recap: Whitehall Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Whitehall ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Fair Haven Slaters. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Railroaders.

Khloe Paddock made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over eight innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mia Waters, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Bella Spitoleri also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Whitehall now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fair Haven, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Whitehall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fair Haven, they will head out to square off against Burr & Burton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
