Basketball Game Preview: Montesano Bulldogs vs. Klahowya Eagles

The Montesano Bulldogs just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Klahowya Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Montesano has seven straight wins, Klahowya has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Montesano strolled past Elma with points to spare, taking the game 40-21. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly 19 points.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-16, which was the final score in Klahowya's tilt against Annie Wright on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Gators are ranked 46th).

Klahowya's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Montesano, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Montesano against Klahowya when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 70-27 win. In that contest, Montesano amassed a halftime lead of 40-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
