Lowell is 6-1 against Malden since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Red Raiders will welcome the Golden Tornados at 4:30 p.m. Lowell will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Lowell beat Dracut 3-1.

Lowell had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 26-24, 25-8, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Malden unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Lynn Classical, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Golden Tornados have suffered since September 17th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-9.

Malden's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lowell, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Everything went Lowell's way against Malden when the teams last played back in September of 2023, as Lowell made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Golden Tornados have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
