Football Preview: Lincoln Northeast Rockets vs. Omaha North Vikings        
        
		
             The Lincoln Northeast Rockets will head out on the road to  challenge  the Omaha North Vikings  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Lincoln Northeast's defense has only allowed 11.8  points per game  this season, so Omaha North's offense will have their work cut out for them.
 Lincoln Northeast is probably headed into the  match with a chip on their shoulder considering North Platte just ended the team's  three-game winning streak  on Friday. They lost  47-21 to the Bulldogs. The Rockets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  27-0.
 Despite their  defeat, Lincoln Northeast saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Zayne Scully, who threw for 149 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes, was perhaps the best of all.  Quincy Montoya also helped out with an impressive 90  receiving yards.
 Lincoln Northeast wouldn't let North Platte keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Lincoln Northeast can thank  Levi Sherman and  Tyrin Buckley for forcing both of them.
 Meanwhile, Omaha North faced Kearney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Omaha North fell  13-6 to Kearney. The Vikings gained 160 more yards on the day, but it was the Bearcats that made the best use of them.
 Despite the  loss, Omaha North got top-tier performance from   Jaron Cannon, who rushed for 161 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 34 receiving yards.
 Having lost for the first time  this season, Lincoln Northeast  fell to 3-1. As for Omaha North, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
 Lincoln Northeast was dealt a bruising  56-6 loss at the hands of Omaha North in their previous matchup  back in October of 2019. Can Lincoln Northeast avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
