Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Newten Burnside stepped things up a notch to give Mission Vista the 'W'. Burnside made a splash, striking out eight batters over eight innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). He was dominant the last time he took on Vista last Tuesday, so they probably should've seen this coming. Burnside also tossed a walk, which is notable because Mission Vista is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 1-10 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Burnside and Mission Vista will be playing at home against Westview at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mission Vista hasn't beaten Westview recently, having gone 0-7 since March of 2015.
