After a string of four wins, Fairview's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 74-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Edward Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Eagles are ranked 37th).

Fairview's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for St. Edward, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Fairview will be playing in front of their home fans against Rocky River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairview is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Rocky River a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for St. Edward, they will venture away from home to take on St. Vincent-St. Mary at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Edward knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully St. Vincent-St. Mary likes a good challenge.
