Soccer Game Preview: Chippewa Valley vs. Anchor Bay

The Chippewa Valley Big Reds will take on the Anchor Bay Tars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Chippewa Valley's offense. They lost 3-0 to St. Clair on Wednesday. The shutout was out of character for Chippewa Valley seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Meanwhile, Anchor Bay also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Romeo by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Anchor Bay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while Romeo are ranked 25th).

Chippewa Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-6. As for Anchor Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9-3.
