Softball Recap: Ball Tornadoes vs. La Porte Bulldogs

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Ball was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 18-1 to the La Porte Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-4 back in March.

Sophia Velasquez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Ball has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season. As for La Porte, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-4-1.

Coming up, Ball will be playing at home against Friendswood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Tornadoes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. La Porte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
