Daviess County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Tecumseh Braves by a score of 7-2.

Storey Hume looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Annie Newman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kylie Clark, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Daviess County's win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Daviess County will venture away from home to take on Hamilton Southeastern at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Tecumseh, they will take on Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
