Softball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to the Sardis Lions. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Sardis, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-9.

Looking ahead, Skyline will take on Plainview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Sardis has already played their next matchup (against Spring Garden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
