Blue Valley Northwest posted their biggest victory since December 17, 2024 on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Lee's Summit Tigers with a sharp 63-43 win. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 39th in Kansas, while the Tigers are ranked 164th in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Blue Valley Northwest is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Lee's Summit, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Valley Northwest will square off against Bishop Miege at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Gabi McFall and Mary Grant. As for Lee's Summit, they will take on Lee's Summit West at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lee's Summit is facing Lee's Summit West at the right time seeing as Lee's Summit West is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
