Baseball Game Preview: R.J. Reynolds Demons vs. East Forsyth Eagles

R.J. Reynolds is 0-10 against East Forsyth since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The R.J. Reynolds Demons will head out on the road to challenge the East Forsyth Eagles at 7:00 p.m. R.J. Reynolds has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

R.J. Reynolds lost 16-7 to East Forsyth on Tuesday. The loss was the Demons' first of the season.

R.J. Reynolds got a good showing from Porter Lassiter, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Sean Lewis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gavin Searcy, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

The victory (which was East Forsyth's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for R.J. Reynolds, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
