Baseball Recap: Purchase Line Wins Going Away Against Harmony Area

Purchase Line had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Harmony Area on Thursday. The Red Dragons blew past the Owls 13-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 24, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Christian Moyer made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Purchase Line is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 0-7 otherwise. Moyer was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Devlan Kordish was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Purchase Line is 2-1 when Kordish posts three or more hits, but 0-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Stephen Perrusso, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
