Soccer Recap: South Fork Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

South Fork kept a clean sheet against Atlantic on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Atlantic Eagles. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Eder Bravo and Nicholas Kovach scored both of South Fork's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

South Fork is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those eight matchups. As for Atlantic, they now have a losing record at 5-6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Fork and Lincoln Park Academy will meet in a canine-themed contest at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln Park Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season. As for Atlantic, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
