Sahuaro is 10-0 against Palo Verde since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Sahuaro Cougars will look to defend their home court against the Palo Verde Titans at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Sahuaro took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Saguaro by a score of 44-35.

Anissa Garcia went supernova for Sahuaro, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, Garcia is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Biale Sika, who posted seven points and three blocks.
Sahuaro smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Palo Verde against Apache Junction on Tuesday as the team secured a 66-37 victory.
Sahuaro better keep an eye on Gaby Oliver. She was instrumental in Palo Verde's win, dropping a triple-double on 46 points, 16 boards, and ten steals. Oliver's evening made it 20 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lillyana Pinkerton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Palo Verde has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Sahuaro, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sahuaro has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Palo Verde struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
