Adams Central got themselves on the board against Twin River on Wednesday, but Twin River never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Titans. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Hunter Nepple made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had over his last two contests. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Nepple wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jaron Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Kaleb Wahlmeier was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Adams Central is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Twin River, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Coming up, Adams Central will head out on the road to square off against Omaha Northwest at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Twin River, they will host Central City/Centura at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Kernels' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Titans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
