Football Recap: Arlington Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Arlington lost against Lamar back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Colts took a hard 35-21 fall against the Vikings. The Colts were up 21 in the first, but they couldn't quite seal the deal.

Leading Lamar to victory were Jayden Shaw and Tayrone Thomas. Shaw rushed for 108 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries, while Thomas rushed for 219 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. The Vikings are 2-1 when Thomas posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

Arlington has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Lamar, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arlington will welcome Grand Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Lamar, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Volunteers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
