Soccer Recap: Polk County Comes Up Short

Polk County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 6-2 to Sweetwater. If Polk County was looking for revenge after losing 4-0 to Sweetwater when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Polk County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sweetwater, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.

Polk County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tyner Academy at 6:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Sweetwater, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Sweetwater take on Brainerd at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brainerd is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5 goals per game this season.
