Baseball Recap: Discovery Spartans vs. Avon Park Red Devils

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Discovery can now relate to. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Avon Park Red Devils on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Discovery has not been shut out since back in March.

For Avon Park's part, Discovery's batters probably weren't too happy with Brad Benton, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (he gave up two walks). Benton has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.
