Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sterling). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Haddon Township Hawks 34-6. Sterling's win was all the more impressive since the Hawks were averaging only 10.71 points allowed on the season.
Amare Kee had a dynamite game for Sterling, rushing for 152 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Kee's longest rush was for an impressive 64 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Sterling didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayce Ward and Joseph Carter. Carter also snagged an interception, which is notable because Sterling is 2-1 when he posts at least one interception, but 2-4 otherwise.
The victory made it two in a row for Sterling and bumps their season record up to 4-5. As for Haddon Township, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.
