It was a good run, but Giddings unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 12-1 to the Lexington Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Buffaloes have suffered since April 22, 2024.

Giddings' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Giddings will be playing in front of their home fans against Brenham at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lexington, they will face off against C.H. Yoe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
