Coventry Christian faced Girard College in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Coventry Christian walked away with a 22-14 win over Girard College. The victory was just business as usual for Coventry Christian, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Luke Hunter threw for 111 yards and one TD. Dom Wittman was his top target, picking up 61 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Coventry Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Girard College, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Coventry Christian will take on Maryland School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Coventry Christian 10.4, Maryland School for the Deaf 12) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Girard College, after each having a week off, they and Model Secondary School for the Deaf will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
