Softball Recap: Medfield Has No Trouble Against Ashland

Medfield was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ashland on Wednesday. The Warriors blew past the Clockers 12-6. The win was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Sophie Baker, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Connie Hillenmeyer, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Medfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Medfield's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Ashland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Medfield will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Holliston at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Ashland, they will square off against Norwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
