Softball Recap: Troy Comes Up Short

Troy fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Foothill on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 5-4. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Troy has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Foothill, their record is now 9-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Troy will square off against rival Brea Olinda at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Foothill is set to take on their familiar foe Yorba Linda at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
