Baseball Recap: Princeton Extends Winning Streak to Five

Princeton entered their tilt with South Spencer on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Rebels. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rebels, too.

Jarrett Kinder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Quinn Bush was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of David Miller, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Princeton's record is now 17-3. As for South Spencer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Princeton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Mt. Vernon on the 9th. South Spencer has also already played their next contest (against Evansville Reitz), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
