Baseball Game Preview: Walnut Mustangs vs. South Pasadena Tigers

The Walnut Mustangs will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the South Pasadena Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Walnut fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Damien on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 11-8 to the Spartans.

Meanwhile, South Pasadena had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bonita. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

South Pasadena got a good showing from Ishan Trachtenberg, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
