Baseball Recap: Milwaukee Lutheran Comes Up Short

Milwaukee Lutheran extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 22 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-7. They came up short against the South Milwaukee Rockets, falling 20-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Knights of the 24-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

As for South Milwaukee, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 17 runs.

For South Milwaukee's part, Lucas Stapleton and Jayden Reynaldo made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Stapleton tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Reynaldo pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Stapleton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Stapleton went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Reynaldo went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Easton Nowak, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with six RBI, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tommy Parker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
