Baseball Recap: Riverview Sharks vs. Durant Cougars
Riverview and Durant squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Riverview had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 10-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 back in March.
Parker Burt was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Jordan Shultz was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Edwards, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.
