It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but St. Joseph ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Arroyo Grande Eagles 5-4. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Ashton Bluem was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Santana Covarrubias, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

St. Joseph's win bumped their record up to 16-4-1. As for Arroyo Grande, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Joseph will square off against rival Mission College Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Arroyo Grande is set to face off against their familiar foe Righetti at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
