League recap: Tigard tops Newberg to extend winning streak

Tigard extended the longest winning streak in 6A Pacific this week by beating Newberg, 76-35. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Tigers.

McMinnville was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Glencoe. The Grizzlies came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Century and McMinnville. The Jaguars enters the game ranked 20th in the state, while Jeff Kearin's team ranks 24th.

Tigard took down the Tigers 76-35 last week, the largest margin of any game.
