Softball Recap: St. Catherine's Comes Up Short

If St. Catherine was feeling good fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Brookfield Academy on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Angels fell just short of the Blue Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Angels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Knights earlier this season, when they won 8-1.

St. Catherine's saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Londyn Pardo, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

With the loss, St. Catherine's broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Brookfield Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Coming up, St. Catherine's will host Dominican at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Angels surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brookfield Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Francis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
