Volleyball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridgeview Wolf Pack. The Scots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolf Pack earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Highland came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Highland saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madalyn Gonzalez had 27 digs and four assists. Those 27 digs set a new season-high mark for Gonzalez. Another player making a difference was Aryanee Razo, who had 13 digs and three aces.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 13-17-3. As for Ridgeview, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 15-13.

As of now, neither Highland nor the Wolf Pack have any future games scheduled.
