Soccer Game Preview: Riverdale vs. North Fort Myers

Riverdale is 0-7-1 against North Fort Myers since January of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Riverdale Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the North Fort Myers Red Knights at 6:30 p.m.

Riverdale is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to Ida Baker.

Meanwhile, North Fort Myers waltzed into their match on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They never let the Tritons onto the board and left with a 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Red Knights, who have now won 11 games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Mariner with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lexi Neumann, Hannah Busenbark, Kenlee Dominguez, and Bailey Root.

North Fort Myers' victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those six contests. As for Riverdale, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-2.

Riverdale might still be hurting after the 9-1 defeat they got from North Fort Myers when the teams last played back in December of 2023. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Riverdale was down 6-1.
