Baseball Recap: Burkburnett Comes Up Short

Burkburnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 15-5 to the Springtown Porcupines. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Porcupines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Brodie Hagle made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Cope, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Burkburnett's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Springtown, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6-1.

While Burkburnett had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
