Baseball Recap: Waynesville Victorious

Waynesville took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Salem, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Waynesville had just enough and edged out Salem 4-2. For Waynesville, this counts as revenge for the 10-4 win Salem walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Carson Sutphin was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Waynesville's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Salem, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4-1.

Coming up, Waynesville will take on Nixa at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salem, they will face off against Thayer at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
