Basketball Game Preview: Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves vs. William Smith Eagles

Twin Peaks Classical Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Golden View Classical Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were dealt a 69-41 defeat at the hands of the Sentinels. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Sentinels are ranked 110th).

The losing side was boosted by Angel Ortega, who went 6 for 12 en route to 16 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Matthew Wurth, who posted four points and ten boards.

Even though they lost, Twin Peaks Classical Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in ten consecutive games.

Meanwhile, William Smith came up short against Aurora West College Prep Academy on Wednesday and fell 63-52. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

William Smith's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Twin Peaks Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
