Football Recap: Broken Arrow Falls Short Against Ranked Owasso

Broken Arrow faced Owasso in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tigers took a 28-14 bruising from the Rams. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeramiah Ssettimba, who rushed for 44 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 175 yards on 15 of 23 attempts. 84 of Ssettimba's passing yards were hauled in by Samaj Stanford.

Leading Owasso to victory were Jayden Hall and Drew Frankenfield. Hall rushed for 203 yards and a pair of scores, while Frankenfield threw for 196 yards and two TDs. Those 203 rushing yards gave Hall a new career-high.

Broken Arrow's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Owasso, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Broken Arrow has already played their next contest, a 42-14 victory against Yukon on the 3rd. As for Owasso, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-15 win against Union on the 3rd.
