Basketball Recap: Palisades Starts Season with Victory Against Olympic

Palisades had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Olympic Trojans 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pumas have posted since January 24th.

Brighton Lester had a dynamite game, putting up 25 points and eight boards. Those eight rebounds gave him a new career-high. Joshua Harris was another key player, scoring 13 points.

When it comes to explaining why Olympic lost, don't look at Jaden Hardnett. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-14 en route to 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Cota, who posted five points and five assists.

Palisades has already played their next contest, a 67-60 defeat against Chambers on the 21st. As for Olympic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 86-66 loss against Jay M. Robinson on the 21st.
