Smith Valley entered their tilt with Sage Ridge on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 42-38 win over the Sage Ridge Scorpions. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 50-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Smith Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Sage Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pyramid Lake the next time they take the court. Sage Ridge will host Pyramid Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Smith Valley will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
