Football Game Preview: Channelview Falcons vs. Kingwood Mustangs + How To Watch

Channelview hasn't had much luck against Kingwood recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Channelview has given up an average of 32.2 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Channelview came up short against Humble and fell 32-21.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Davion Vanderbilt, who picked up 118 receiving yards and one score. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 101 receiving yards per game.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Friday. Kingwood was beaten by North Shore 71-7. The matchup marked Kingwood's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Channelview's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Kingwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Saturday's contest will pit two of the most dominant s against one another: Dale Taylor and Cade Haug. Taylor just won't slow down this season and has averaged 8 total tackles per game. Haug has been a dominant force too and has averaged 12 total tackles per game.

Channelview suffered a grim 41-19 defeat to Kingwood when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
