Softball Recap: Bentonville West Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Pea Ridge

Bentonville West faced Pea Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Blackhawks by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Wolverines couldn't push the score so high this time.

Stephanie Crittenden was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.

Bentonville West's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Pea Ridge, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.
