Soccer Recap: Springport Takes a Loss

If Springport was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bronson last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell just short of the Coldwater Cardinals by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Springport of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2016.

Springport has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-2 record this season. As for Coldwater, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11-1.

Coming up, Springport will welcome Comstock at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Coldwater, they will head out to take on Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
