Volleyball Recap: Wright Comes Up Short

Wright was the 2-0 winner over Newcastle when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Dogies by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Jocelyn Umiker paced Wright's offense, picking up 13 kills. Umiker got some help from Emilie Martinez-Reyes and her 17 assists.

Wright's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Newcastle, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Wright didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Gering on the 29th. As for Newcastle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Cody on the 29th.
