Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lone Grove). They put the hurt on the Pauls Valley Panthers with a sharp 59-38 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Longhorns as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Lone Grove's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Pauls Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lone Grove will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kingston at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Pauls Valley, they will head out to face off against Plainview at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Plainview will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pauls Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
