Justin Leathers Turns in Season-Best Performance

Justin Leathers produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Southridge to the win on Friday. Leathers rushed for 177 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 28 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass.

The victory was the third in a row for Southridge, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. They and Forest Park are set to duel on Friday.

Grant Boyd Delivers Electric Performance Vs Forest Park

While Pike Central might've come up empty on Friday, Grant Boyd wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the defeat, Boyd was still balling out as he rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

For the season, Boyd has averaged 18.6 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he had three rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 12.

North Posey was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Jed Galvin did his best to prevent it. Galvin was unstoppable, rushing for 39 yards.

If history really does repeat itself, Galvin might just drop another big game when he faces off against Pike Central on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Galvin saw the Chargers), he rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries.
