Baseball Recap: Valley Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Valley was the 9-6 winner over Derry when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday.

Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Benjamine Mehalick, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Valley's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2. As for Derry, their record is now 2-3.

While Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
