Basketball Recap: Shaler Area's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Shaler Area came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past the Armstrong River Hawks with a 47-43 victory on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-45 back in December of 2024.

Shaler Area's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Armstrong, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Plum the next time they take the court. Armstrong will head out to face Plum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Shaler Area will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
