Softball Preview: Centennial Titans vs. Princeton Panthers
The Centennial Titans will take on the Princeton Panthers in a tournament on Saturday.
Centennial's tournament run continued when they took on Legacy Christian Academy on Friday. Centennial lost 11-1 to Legacy Christian Academy. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Princeton won against Bland on Thursday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Princeton walked away with a 10-7 win over Leonard. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Princeton got a massive performance out of Daeshana Wilson, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Jadyn Walton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.
Princeton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They are 4-1-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Princeton's win bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
